The best holidays ever

For me, the best vacations I have had so far have been when I went to Peru, this happened in December 2017, I remember I was around a week and I did not manage to travel much because Peru is very large and extensive, but the important thing is that I went to know the vestiges of the Inca civilization, I toured the sacred city of Machu Picchu, as well as Sacsayhuamán, Moray, among other places that were near Cuzco and Aguas calientes. I remember that my sister recently graduated from college and had barely found a replacement job, but one day out of nowhere she comes and mentions the idea of going, since we both dreamed of knowing this beautiful place. I was super impressed, because I never imagined that I would be proposed this type of invitation.

Once we were there, we could see the difference in height, so during the whole trip we kept coca leaves close by, so as to avoid altitude sickness as it is known. In addition, we were constantly walking, as all these ruins are on the heights and leave you really exhausted. I remember eating a lot of things, but keeping a margin with what I had already eaten because there were things that looked really appetizing and others that didn’t, so I was afraid to ask for something without knowing what it was, So I kept eating quinoa and chips for most of the trip.

A country you would like to visit

The country I would like to meet is Japan, because it mixes technology and nature so well, even though in some of the busiest places they developed a lot of smog by the industry, it is also very interesting to see how they have created their culture. What I know about Japan is that there they have a culture that loves to read and thanks to that they have created different stories that have crossed the border and reached our hands, either in the form of books or manga. What I like most about this country is that they have a great cultural diversity, whether in the religious, culinary, historical sphere. I can't wait to learn from this culture in its entirety, to know its medicinal secrets and many other things. The bad thing about this country is that it's very demanding with its young people, and for this reason the annual suicide rate is huge. So if I have to choose I would go to live, but only once when I've already saved enough to keep myself a couple of years quiet, just knowing the place, but I'm not so closed to the idea of working there as an anthropologist either.

My relationship with english

To begin with, learning new languages (English and Italian specifically) has always caught my attention, and since I was little it has not been difficult for me to understand or read it, but when I have to speak English I go into crisis, I pronounce the words very bad and I lose track of what I'm talking about . I think it is similar to what happens to me with Spanish and it is something that I have to work on, I am very confused to explain myself. However, I believe that it is possible to overcome that with practice and time, but I must order myself to achieve it. But in general, I have very good experiences, not counting nervousness

An evaluation of your blogging experience

In general, I really liked this experience, since I have been able to observe that I share certain tastes with the other blogs. However, it has helped me a lot in my writing skills since before it was very complex and I always lacked connectors to appreciate a very complex English, but thanks to this activity I can better chain ideas, creating more complex structures when speaking.

Among what could be included, would be to increase the resource of images because not in all cases it was possible to attach images, and it makes reading the blog a bit more monotonous, but if we attach more images it is possible to see things from another perspective

I would like to leave some tips to energize this experience, within which it is possible to upload not only certain tastes or topics, but also to be able to share feelings or doubts that are generated from life and how terrible the pandemic has affected us. I like to write about the doubts that affect the human being, I think that these things could generate a greater taste for writing

A subject you have enjoyed studying this year

The class that I liked studying the most this year is Workshop 3, specifically what I saw in bioanthropology, so far the class has made me very entertaining since they taught us to date radiocarbon dates through an application called "OxCal" They also briefly introduced us to what will be seen in Physical Anthropology in the coming years, since we saw Biometry, measurements, identification, health-disease controls in living, Measurements, identification, research in non-living, mummies, adhered organic and inorganic biomaterials , pathogens, and parasites that colonize the body, Conflicts and ethical dilemmas associated with the Chilean archaeological human remains.

I mainly like this class because it showed me things that I did not think would interest me as much as materiality, but now it left me wondering what to study later, so it motivated me to get a double mention in the next few years, already that brought out something new in me, without a doubt this is why this topic began to interest me, since I like analysis, mummies and artifacts. You can find a lot of new things of history for humanity.

A photograph that I like

To begin, I chose this photo because 2 fundamental parts are mixed in my life, one of them is the person who appears in the photo, she is my life partner and the other part is the environment that makes up part of this photo, Since I have always been a nature lover since I was little, I like to be constantly visiting it and going to discover new places, this photo was taken on October 10 of this year, it was taken by me. Even though I'm not good at taking photos, I think this one has something in particular that makes it special.

This place belongs to my beautiful Aconcagua valley where nature and great mountains predominate, where rich rivers border it or that is what happened until a while ago ... due to mining in the area and global warming they have constantly decreased the flow of the rivers that run through the Aconcagua valley, but it still consists of beautiful places like this one and is best enjoyed with the right company.

A person or expert in your field that you admire

Marcel Mauss 10 May 1872 – 10 February 1950 was a french sociologist. The nephew of Émile Durkheim, Mauss, in his academic work, crossed the boundaries between sociology and anthropology. Today, he is perhaps better recognised for his influence on the latter discipline, particularly with respect to his analyses of topics such as magic, sacrifice and gift exchange in different cultures around the world. Mauss had a significant influence upon Claude Lévi-strauss, the founder of structural anthropology. His most famous work is The Gift in 1925.

One of his main works has been his essay on the gift, which explains the form and function of exchange in archaic societies; also known as The Gift, is a book by the anthropologist Marcel Mauss published in 1923-1924 in Année Sociologique. It deals with the methods of exchange in archaic societies. It is one of the most famous studies for the field of anthropology. Also, Marcel Mauss is widely recognized for his first and most important ethnographic, anthropological, and sociological study of reciprocity, exchange, and the anthropological origin of the contract. I like it because in my career we see a lot, and we learned to admire it and to admire the constructions that serve to understand the field of.

The photo I chose is about five years old, but I chose it because it was a very strange day and it allows me to remember that moment. To beg...
